Albion is a caff and small shop, with an in-house bakery and cake counter, where the vast majority of the food and drink products are British.
Located within the Boundary building www.theboundary.co.uk on the ground floor, Albion provides an everyday resource for the local community and guests staying at the adjoining hotel. The dining area seats sixty people inside and, when the weather is good, a further thirty outside.
Albion opened in January 2009, and is owned and operated by Prescott & Conran, a limited company with three shareholders: Terence Conran, Vicki Conran and Peter Prescott. www.prescottandconran.com.
Pascal Claire is the manager and Alex Umeh is the head chef. Together with Uma Kuppuswamy, head pastry chef, and Matthieu Cauty, head baker, they form the management quartet, all of whom have been involved with Albion since the very beginning.

Albion is open from 8am until late evening, seven days per week. Everybody is welcome. Call in for a glass of wine or a cup of tea while meeting a friend, or enjoy a hearty breakfast, lunch or supper.
The takeaway coffee counter and bakery are open from 8am.
Breakfast is served from 8am to midday Monday to Friday, and 8am to 12.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The main hot and cold caff food menu is available all day until the kitchen closes at 11pm.
In the afternoon, from 3.30pm - 5.30pm, there is also an extended selection of pastries and teacakes.
The bar closes at 11pm Monday to Saturday, and 10.30pm on Sunday.
Albion does not take table bookings for six or less. Just turn up and the friendly team will find a table for you.
While Albion does not take individual small table bookings, it is possible to reserve table/s for evening bookings for groups of seven to 24 people. Plus, it is sometimes possible to reserve a table (minimum seven people) for early breakfast Monday to Friday. All subject to availability.
